A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Fabulous
We had the Hamman bath with foot massage. It was all amazing. Highly recommend it. We rested on a warm marble plinth first. Then were washed and massaged from head to toe. Finally had a relaxing foot massage.

Turkish relaxation
The place is very picturesque, the ambient music relaxing and the staff friendly. The girls who massaged us even though they didn’t speak much English spurred sympathy and attention, especially Bahriye, Aysun and Türkan. If you need a moment of relaxation after walking around the city it is the perfect place, especially with tea and Turkish delicacies that you are served before you go.

Would try it once in turkey
Overall It was a good experience to try for the first time. I did the basic Turkish bath. The rooms and bath was was very clean. The ladies did a good job . I felt she could scrub more. They could provide hair conditioner and also moisturizer. It’s very economical to add for the 70 euro price tag.
