A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Really amazing place!!! Absolutely wonderfull experience. Staff is very kind and professional. Luxurious and historical place where you can really enjoy in one part of real Turkish tradition. Also, they are using natural cosmetics and is perfect for skin. I’ll be back!!!! Thanks for everything.

Best experience ever
We were very well welcomed. The staff was very nice and friendly and showed us to our changing rooms and the sauna and steam room.Then we went for our hamam massage , where they bathed us and pampered us.We were offered tea, water and coffee several times during our stay and ended up doing a 30 min massage as well , which was amazing. I have never had anyone on the table massaging my back but it was incredible.Very worthy of the money you pay and it is not expensive .You can enjoy the sauna and steam room as long as you want.Would love to go back there one day .Thank you to the lovely staff

## Negative Review: Overpriced Tourist Hammams in Istanbul
During my stay in Istanbul, I visited several of the well-known tourist hammams. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the pricing and service. The entrance fees were significantly inflated, the treatments unprofessional, and the facilities were, in some cases, outdated. I felt like I was being ripped off.
### Addendum
To experience authentic Turkish bathing culture, I recommend visiting local areas. There you will find hammams that are much cheaper and of higher quality. Insha’Allah (God willing), you will be greeted with genuine hospitality and professionalism.
