Famous Historical Hamams

Its dual structure (separate men's and women's sections) is considered a masterpiece of late Ottoman architecture.
Cemberlitas Hamam (1584) was designed by the legendary architect Mimar Sinan for Nurbanu Sultan, mother of Sultan Murad III. The twin domes and elegant interior make it one of the most photographed hamams in Istanbul.
Hurrem Sultan Hamam (c. 1557) sits between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, commissioned by Suleiman the Magnificent for his beloved wife Hurrem Sultan (Roxelana). After a meticulous restoration, it reopened as one of the most luxurious bathing experiences in the city.
