A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Nurturing, timeless, joyfully humbling experience
This 500-year-old Turkish spa was pure magic. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt transported—like a giant baby being lovingly bathed just like my little girls still do with me. It was such a nurturing, humbling experience. The marble, the warmth, the ritual of it all—it makes perfect sense why this tradition has endured. The massage was incredible, and my therapist was all smiles, gentle and kind, even as I giggled like a little girl through it all. I left feeling soft, cleansed, and totally renewed. Truly one of the most beautiful self-care experiences I’ve ever had.

Incredible Hammam Experience
It is an incredible place to experience the real Turkish Hamam. Everything has been perfect, the reception is very nice, the place is fantastic and full of history, but the best part is the Hammam therapists which have done their best during the session. Thank you!

Great after a long flight!
