A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful experience! It was my first time to a Hamami and I am so glad that I chose to come here. The facilities were beautiful and clean and everyone was professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable right away. Kalsan did an amazing job. Overall it was a very nice and relaxing experience- highly recommend!

Amazing Hammam
Firstly, the buidling is beautiful and easy to find.The staff were friendly and welcoming from start to finish.The treatment was well worth the money (a similar treatment would likely be double the cost in the UK). After the treatment, we were provided with snacks and tea.Would recommend this to anyone staying in Istanbul.

Absolutely amazing time. Staff so friendly and polite. I feel so energised fresh and relaxed. Such a wonderful experience from the moment we walked through the doors. Refreshments afterwards made the trip extra special.

Great Turkish bath house experience with the kids.
We had the family bubble massage experience. The boys went their way and the girls went theirs. We really enjoyed doing this with our children. They got to understand by the experience that these Turkish bathhouses were a way of life 600 years ago. The scrub was good and the bubbles was a great invigorating experience. Would recommend trying this

Wish they had this back home
Fantastic experience! The exfoliation and complete head to toe bubble bath felt so renewing. I received a loincloth and towel and felt very modest at first but as a female, the female attendant made sure I didn’t feel uncomfortable. She also made sure I didn’t slip and fall afterwards. I also got a wonderful foot massage as part of my treatment. The little treats after the session were the cherry on top (also important after the session). The facility is historic and beautiful inside although the location was a little odd to get to from outside. 10/10 would do it again and would recommend to my friends!

Exceptional Turkish Bath Experience
I would recommend this historic Hamam experience to anyone visiting Istanbul. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. My therapist Kalsan was very skilled and made my experience exceptional. I added the massage to my package which I would definitely recommend. The historic site was clean and peaceful and I would rate the whole experience 10/10!

The magic that happens within 550 year old walls…
My friend told me about this place and I must say, there is something truly magical about experiencing a Turkish Hammam in a 550 year old place. It’s absolutely stunning. ôZNUR did my treatment and I highly recommend asking for her if you can – she has over 20 years experience and made me feel so comfortable and cared for. The ladies don’t speak a word of English, but boy oh boy did we laugh a lot. I felt like I came to a live show – it went from scrubs to belly laughter to falling asleep during the most magical massage. This has been one for the books and a memory i will treasure forever!
