A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. So relaxing!
Beautiful and calming atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Everyone was very kind and professional and I never felt uncomfortable! I felt so relaxed afterwards and immediately wished to go again. Definitely on the pricier side of experiences but it’s something I highly recommend and won’t forget anytime soon.
