A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Hot turkish bath and massage

Great Hamam experience at Gedikpasa
Gedikpasa Hamam is one of the oldest in town. The internal courtyard is beautiful that takes you back in time. Inside the hamam itself , there are 2 octagonal large hamam slabs where you are to lie down and soak in the heat. Facing upwards , you will see lots of light filtering the holes in a large dome. It is like stars in the ceiling. The bath area is at 4 corners. Each of them has 3 marble slab for the actual hamam experience ( scrubbing and foam cleaning/massage of the entire body). The initial sensation of a slight pain (scrubbing). However, it is cool by the splashes of warm water. Again looking up, there is small dome with light filtering. It is really a wonderful experience which brings you back in time.I gave it 4 star as my therapist was perspiring while working on me. Given the warm environment, this is natural. However, some of the sweat dropped onto me which I was a little annoyed. Outside of that, he was great in treatment. Maybe, there is a better way avoid perspiration from landing on the client

1400s experience with luxury and reasonable prices
So I didn’t know what a Turkish bath was before booking, but everyone I knew insisted I try one. This place came recommended and it was very elegant! Prices are very reasonable – especially compared to USA spa services (I think I paid 160 USD plus a tip for a 90 minute treatment). If you are seeking a authentic experience near Grand Bazaar I can recommend this place to you

Felt like royality
A Turkish bath with massage is phenomenal. Everybody needs to be pampered like that. I feel so relaxed with no stress in my body. I even fell asleep after the bath. What an experience
