A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. An incredible experience
After an exhausting day visiting Istanbul, I could not have lived at a better time this experience.Me and my family were very well received and the ladies of the massages were always very nice and the receptionists as well. A must enjoy experience
The Hammam experience was out of this world. The team is friendly and they take good care of you. My therapist was Omur and he was thorough, professional and very friendly. While language is not a big factor for me, (learn some few words in a local language where you travel to), they also have high level of English. And of course those treats at the end! History and Pleasure
An essential place to visit.The classic Hamam massages they perform are a delight, they relieve tension spectacularly, I did not expect such a level. If we combine this with the foam bath, it is simply magnificent. Let’s not forget the staff. The 2 men who assisted us were extremely pleasant and their experience was evident.Finally, the historical atmosphere is the icing on the cake. You receive a massage where someone from antiquity received one more than 500 years ago.It is a 100% recommended experience that must be lived!

Relaxing experience after a long day of heat and walking. The place is very clean and the staff is very attentive. They provide you with everything necessary to have the experience. Without a doubt, one more curious activity not to be missed in Istanbul.

Beautiful experience, historic baths dating back to the 1400s, fascinating and very well maintained. Kind staff, everything clean and professional. It was a relaxing experience and privacy is at its maximum with private rooms for changing and an independent hammam. Splendid

Went with high expectations and did not disappoint.
Me and the wife unit had a lovely experience. First time to a Turkish hamam. Went with high expectations and did not disappoint. Checkin was straight forward and we went into separate areas. We choose the option with additional 30 minutes oil massage. The staff were courteous, kind, guided us through the process, and put good effort and energy. As we were having drinks at the end of service, wife already asking if we should visit again. Highly recommend. Thanks Allattin for the memorable experience on the men’s side

Stunning place, great service!
This place is simply stunning! The whole experience was 10/10. I went for the Women ritual including scrub and foam massage, which was very relaxing and gloriously aromatic. Turkan was a very careful and friendly therapist! Guvench was a great host, and a pleasant surprise were complimentary Turkish delight and delicious homemade juice after the ritual 🙂 highly recommendable!

Pleasant relaxing time in hamam
We went as group of three female friends. The staff was very nice and ready to help, the experience was pleasant and very good. We went for Hamam Ritual got scrubbed at the same time so we didn’t have to wait for each other and the massage was really good. And then we got treated with sherbet and lemonade. Will recommend and definitely coming back.

We were a little nervous bringing our children, but the staff made us feel welcome, comfortable, and well cared for from start to finish.The entire experience was relaxing, authentic, and professionally run. Every staff member was kind, respectful, and attentive, making sure each of us—including the kids—had a wonderful time. The hammam itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly what we were hoping for during our visit to Istanbul.The treatments left us feeling incredibly refreshed, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. While the price may seem like a splurge at first, after experiencing the quality of the service and the level of care we received, we genuinely felt it was worth every euro.If you’re visiting Istanbul and want to experience a traditional Turkish bath, I highly recommend this place—especially for families.
