A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Amazing experience!
The hammam was very nice, the staff is very professional and polite, but I would like the hammam to have some fountain with cold drinking water as the temperature gets very high and I was constantly thirsty, especially after walking to the hammam along a hot street.The tea with sweets at the end of the treatment was very delicious.Thank you very much!
