A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Good experience in the morning, staff is good in english!
Was our first hamam experience. We liked it very much. Staff knew sufficient english to guide us. We can recommend booking early hours for a very relaxed atmosphere. Tolga and Italiş took great care. Kese and foam massage were good and timely precise!
