A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Çok GÜZEL- very Beautiful!!
I deeply enjoyed my first-time experience at a Turkish bath. It completely exceeded my expectations. I went for the full package called Sultan Ego and it was worth every moment. Bahriye was amazing, warm, professional, and made me feel totally comfortable from the start. The whole experience felt luxurious and relaxing. I highly recommend it if you want to unwind and try something truly special.

Reze and team were lovely and welcoming. Beautiful baths and fantastic tea and Turkish delights afterwards. We felt really well taken care of. Cats and kittens afterwards a bonus!

Pamper yourselves and be a Sultan. Do not deny yourself this experience
What an experience. You get to be a Sultan for a few hours. As an American man the thought of another man giving me a scrub down and massage was unsettling. We looked at some of the couples options where we could get the experience together, but decided to go with the traditional Hamman. The headline here is that we immediately booked another session again for 4 days later, that’s how awesome it was. The hot marble sauna was great. All the stress of work, domestic politics, and the madness of Istanbul slowly left my mind and body like the drops of sweat leaving my body. I really felt in the moment. The scrubbing was just right. The foam cleaning was actually the best massage I have ever had. The whole experience was rejuvenation of mind, body, and soul. Not being with my wife allowed me to selfishly concentrate on my experience. (Wife felt the same way) As mentioned we did this twice in a week and both experience were consistently awesome. We did these early on weekdays and both of us had the place to ourselves. I highly recommend this place. Be a Sultan and pamper yourselves. Don’t deny yourself this experience.

Incredible Experience!
The experience was wonderful! Thankfully the people at the desk understood and spoke English . The service was excellent, I felt so pampered. The therapist I had in the bath was absolutely amazing at his job. The interior of the establishment is absolutely beautiful and clean! Even after I was done with my Hammam Ritual, there’s complimentary tea after the service. I would definitely recommend this place especially if it’s your first time experiencing an hamman.

Breathtaking building with exceptional service and aftercare
Absolutely amazing experience! I researched dozens of Turkish baths in Istanbul and finally landed on this one. This is the best experience if you want a historical setting (it’s one of the oldest establishments still in use in Turkey, over 800 years old) and value for money. I had the 45 minute Hamam experience. The bathrooms are exquisite as are the baths. The service is exceptional, everyone was friendly and welcoming from reception to extra staff and the therapist. It felt like a luxury and private experience. I appreciated the separation between men and women and everything from disposable underwear to towels and hairdryers and private changing rooms with locked rooms are provided. The therapist essentially gives you a massage as she does the foam scrub. They do your face, full body and hair too. You’re provided with sherbet (pomegranate, cinnamon and mint) and Turkish delight with Turkish afterwards. Would highly recommend.

You’ll feel reborn
Without a doubt, one of the best experiences to have in Turkiye. Very professional team with an amazing hospitality. Upon arrival, they explain all the packages to make it clear, and provide all the things you need for this experience (you can bring an extra underwear if you feel more comfortable with your own). Private changing cabins are provided to get ready, then you’re taken to the main section. After a relaxation on the marble slab, they give you scrubbing and the soap/bubble massage and the final wash. If you book a package with oil massage, you are taken to a private chamber for your massage after resting a bit. You end your experience with a complimentary tea/coffee service. You’ll feel as soft as a baby. You’ll sleep so well for sure.Special thanks to Sahin for his service.

Beautiful facilities.
From both therapists, only one of them friendly, with clear communication. The other without communication and somewhat clumsy, even without taking care of the application of soap in eyes. The facilities are excellent. They are clean, tidy and elegant. I would return; but I would appreciate simply greater care, because care is equal to respect.
