A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Great experience
The hammam experience was great. I recommend it first thing when arriving in turkey to relax after travelling. You won’t regret it. My therapist was very firm and the foam massage left me feeling very relaxed.

Engin was FANTASTIC. I have never had a better massage. I thoroughly loved my scrub & bubble bath. I felt like royalty. I can’t recommend this experience enough. I WILL be back, very soon I hope.

Excellent experience
For those that didn’t research…. It’s a great experience but please know you will be naked with other woman if you do not chose the privacy option. Your hair will also get wet. I asked for no hair wash but by nature of the treatment your hair will get slightly wet. They will do their best to accommodate. Tipping is expected here and they leave an envelope in the changing room for you. You can lock your items up in your room and you keep your key with you at all times.

The bubble bath
A relaxing and spectacular experience. The first time I visited a Turkish bath. The most remarkable thing is the treatment of the therapist who even hold your hand so as not to fall and the hospitality of the staff.

Wow what a great experience. Private, ladies separate from men. My sister and I went. The ladies who assisted us was friendly, helpful and knew their trade. We will definitely do it again.
