A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Beautiful Hamman, friendly staff. The bathing experience was so relaxing. It is very private with the women’s section separated l. Everything is done within that space. The therapists were respectful and warm making me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend.
