A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Good Turkish Bath / Hammam
But quirky to find, but reception very welcoming. Very clean and good bath. Hot stone for 10 minutes, good scrub, hair wash. Great for the end of the day before a trip to the Grand Bazaar and dinner. Took my 7 year old and they were very accommodating and inclusive.

An amazing first time at Hamam
This was my first time at a Hamam. The staff was welcoming and professional from the start. After registration, we were sat in a quiet alcove with tea, nuts, and Turkish delight. Our experience with the bath and massage was out of this world. The bath left my skin feeling baby smooth and the massage worked out knots that I had for years. I felt like a new person! After, we returned to the alcove for cold and hot tea and sweets. This was an amazing experience that I highly recommend. It was my first but won’t be my last!

Wonderful experience
This was my first hamam experience and I was unsure what to expect. The female staff were lovely and explained everything. It was sooo relaxing. It was extremely clean and the staff made me feel very comfortable. First you have a hot room where you lay on a marble slab and it is very humid but not as much as a steam room. Then your therapist takes you to another room where you are washed, scrubbed, shampooed and massaged (and I did not pay for the extra massage). You can wear underwear if you want to. Then you go back to the little room where you left your clothes, get dressed, and are served, tea, sweets and apple slices. It was so nice, I may go back again while I am here.

Highly recommend
The experience was amazing. It was my first time. I was nervous but they were very reassuring. The second you walk in the door, the experience is calming and high class. The service was very amazing. Everyone was pleasant and nice. I enjoyed all the care they took. It was also very clean. The women were considerate and after the tea and treats were amazing as well. It was a very calming experience. I would recommend.

Relaxing and calming 🙂
What an amazing experience. Came with my husband and we both enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend to anyone that has not experienced hamam. Kalsan was my therapist and she was lovely! She took me to a marble slab where I laid and meditated for about 10 minutes. Then we went to a private marbled room where she started the scrub, followed by a foam massage, and cold water rinse. We ended the hamam with some tea and treats. Men and women are separated for the bath.

Very beautiful place with great service
Very beautiful place, eclectic interiors and architecture details, which I liked. Great service. Hammam master is nice and polite woman, massage was pleasant. Delicious tea and sweets after procedure. I advised this place for visiting, if you will in Istanbul.

The best experience in Istanbul
The experience was amazing!!! You feel so relax and at peace and with so much energy afterwards. The stuff was amazing, very sweet, very friendly. Oznur was my therapist, she was so sweet and really cared to give ne the best experience. Halim(mami) served us tea and snacks afterwards, he was very sweet. They are very friendly with kids and the best customer service by far.

Relaxing experience
Beautiful place. I was a bit uncomfortable at the beginning as I didn’t know what to expect since it was my first hamam, but Nil did a great job. Very professional and gave a good foam massage.
