A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Really relaxing experience
A small entrance hides this amazing gem. I had never been in a hammam, so I can’t compare the experience, but what I can say is that I truly felt like I was royalty. Luxury but in the old sense – “you don’t do anything but someone does everything you might want for you”. And it felt amazing 🙂 Highly recommended!

Wonderful traditional hamam experience.
The entrance, reception, staff & facilities all made this a great venue to have a traditional hamam. Esa was a great exponent with 13 years experience & a wonderful friendly manner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this establishment for a ‘must try’ experience while in Istanbul
