A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Authentic Turkish Hamam, with gender separation. The history of the building is a beautiful compliment to the experience. Ôznur and Bahriye made the experience incredible for both me and my sister. Would recommend, great price for the various services they offer.

Fascinating Historical Turkish Bath
The historic and opulent baths were amazing to see and experience. The bathing experience was very unique and memorable. I went with my wife who has been to many spas and she enjoyed it. I was a bit uncertain going in as I haven’t had many spa or massage experiences. Once I relaxed on the hot rock, I enjoyed the rather vigorous Turkish bathing ritual (I won’t spoil the surprise).

Pure pleasure and frothy bubbles
On a cold wet day in Istanbul the only thing to do is the hamam. And I went to the oldest and the best in the city. I had the basic package, which was far from basic thanks to my wonderful therapist, Chedam, who was charming and smiling, and oh so good!Thoroughly scrubbed, lathered, massaged and rinsed, I emerged a new woman.Sherbet, tea & nibbles afterwards was a lovely way to finish the treat, I thought. But no – there’s more! A goody bag with soap, cloth and body cream was presented – a lovely touch.Thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommended!

Top tier Hammam experience
This was and amazing Hammam experience! Guvenc and Kalsang and their team were so attentive, every minute was a pure pampering experience! The building is remarkable, historical, and lovingly restored. I was lucky they could take me at the last minute, but reservation is recommended. I was thoroughly impressed. I have been to many hammams in the past and this one is 10/10. Separate facilities for women were deeply appreciated.

Had an amazing experience at the hammam! The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, with soothing steam and a calming ambiance. The staff were professional and made me feel super comfortable throughout. The scrub and foam massage left my skin feeling unbelievably soft and refreshed. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and rejuvenation—definitely coming back again!
