A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Lovely Hammam stay in Istanbul
i’ve had a lovely time during my stay here. I did the hammam ritual and i must say it was really relaxing and i was taken well care of by my therapist. A chill relax time your body needs after a long day trip around Istanbul
I’ve tried the DIY experience and it was relieving. I love the mix with hot and cold water, and how good your skin feels after scrub with the kese (scrub glove). The staff were very kind and attentive. At the end they invite us to a şerbet (turkish sherbet) and lemonade, which it was sweet and fresh. Amazing experience and I will definetely come back.
