A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Brilliant experience – a must do
This was phenomenal. I took my whole family and my teenagers and elderly parents loved the experience. The venue was so authentic and really perfect. They were professional, friendly and so welcoming. My attendant Aysum completed removed the pain and knots in my shoulder. I felt like a new woman walking out. We received a complimentary face mask too. We are currently enjoying refreshments and we cannot stop talking about our experience. 10 stars! Amazing

Amazing traditional Hammam experience
We had a DYI Hammam bath option for 50€ and the experience was just wonderful. Polite staff, all equipment and instructions were included and a sweet compliment and tea after the Hammam. The venue wasn’t very busy and we stayed as long as we wanted (~2.5 hours).

Like being scrubbed by your mum !
I’ll admit I was a bit nervous going to a hamam. It was something I’ve always wanted to try. I need not have worried.It’s such a beautiful historical place, over 500 years old. The staff guided us through every step of the way. Men and women go off in separate directions. You have a changing room where you leave your belongings and take the key. You’re given disposable undies and a Turkish towel and go downstairs to the hamam where you relax on the hot marble. It’s hot but not like a sauna or steam room, easy to breathe. Then you’re taken for your scrub and soap.It’s like being scrubbed by your mum when you were a kid …. My therapist Turkan was very good. I felt like I had new skin – just less of it !Finished with a thirty minute oil massage.Lovely !I’m pretty sure you could walk in without a booking if you’re not sure ..

Great experience!
Great experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone! You will be the first to receive a friendly welcome where everything is explained clearly and very neatly. The warm marble stone lets your whole body relax. The scrubbing and washing are very well done. There’s dirt coming out of places you’d never expect! Lastly, the massage is excellent! After such an experience, your whole body is even cleaner and more relaxed than you might think! Again, I definitely recommend it!

I am absolutely thrilled! The hammam was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was very clean, well-maintained, and furnished with great attention to detail. If you’re looking for an authentic Turkish hammam with excellent value, Gedikpaşa Hamam is hard to beat. I wasn’t looking for the fanciest or most expensive spa—I wanted a traditional experience done well, and this exceeded my expectations.The scrub was thorough, the foam massage was incredibly relaxing, and the staff were professional and respectful throughout the visit. The historic atmosphere makes you feel like you’re experiencing a piece of Istanbul rather than a tourist attraction.What impressed me most was the quality for the price. You get a genuine hammam experience without paying luxury-hotel rates. Tranquil Pampering
This was a tranquil experience. My boyfriend and I came together. This was not his first hammam, but it was my first time.My attendant was Neel, I hope I spelled that right. She was kind and let me know what next steps were happening. We got the Lost in History package.The hot stone table was relaxing. The bath and hair washing made me feel like a kid again. It was nice to get a massage with the cloud of bubbles enveloping me. The massage was fantastic. I loved the foot massage after. We were given juice after our hammam experience. My boyfriend said he loved being pampered and it was worth every penny.

Unique experience in Istanbul!
Spectacular experience in the heart of Istanbul. I was surprised by the facilities that are so beautiful and traditinional, creating a magical ambiance. The staff was very friendly. The scrub, followed by the foam massage and additional oil massage was so relaxing and unique. The therapist was very experienced and sweet. To finalize, they offered me turkish tea and sweets while calmly relaxing in the beautiful hall, which gave a special final touch. I do recommend anyone to experience it, totally worth it! I want to go back one day!

Hamami from One Thousand and One Nights
A wonderful and relaxing experience. The foam massage felt like, what I would imagine falling through clouds would feel like like. A shoutout to Aysu, a wonderful therapist. Great hands.Afterwards delicious Turkish Delights, Tee and organic juice was offered.
