A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. My favorite experience in Turkiyë
Friends recommended this specific locale and I’m glad I did it. Was slightly more expensive than some other places but once I was inside, I could easily understand why. The bath dates back to the 1400s. It’s beautiful and felt calm and healing. I only selected the basic option, but they treated me like the mother of dragons on her wedding eve! Plus, little treats at the end. Ayson was my therapist. 11 stars out of 10!

Authentic Turkish Hamam Experience
The visit was great, authentic experience, the staff is very nice and we felt welcomed and relaxed. I would say it was a little pricey but definitely worth the money and long enough to enjoy, the whole experience lasted a little over an hour minus the time spent drinking tea and the offered Turkish refreshments afterwards. Nice atmosphere and since it wasn’t crowded it made for a more personal experience. Our therapists Turkan and Bahriye were amazing and we totally recommend them, very welcoming and nice ladies and me and my mom loved our experience with them!

Best relaxation experience
This has been the best massage experience we have ever had. From the reception, some relaxation by the marble platform, and then the foam bath, makes it a very relaxing experience. The oil massage and the tea at the end makes it for a very relaxing experience specially having it booked after arriving to turkey from a very long flight it helped us to start our turkey trip with the best energy.

Traditional Turkish Bath
This was an amazing experience in Turkey. One of the oldest traditional bath houses which has been operating since 1475, you literally get the red carpet treatment from the moment you walk in the door. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my therapist, Arif, was capable and communicated effectively to me what was required in a clear manner. The treatments were incredible, and I literally left floating out the door. It was a nice touch at the end to have a pomegranate juice with a touch of cinnamon, the traditional tea, and some Turkish delight to finish. Would highly recommend.

An hour of pampering and kindness.
Attracted by an advertisement on a well-known site for finding guides and experiences, we booked a treatment of about an hour: relaxation on warm marble, vigorous washing with a bristle brush, warm foam, and massage, followed by rinsing. Relaxation. The final touch is tea and loqum. Rejuvenated. Males and females separated, of course, the person taking care of you is of the same sex.

Rejuvenating if you’re not modest
As long as you are not too modest, a Turkish bath is a lovely experience. I really wanted an authentic experience in a traditional bath house and this did not disappoint. It is a beautiful building and the staff are wonderful. My attendant, Kalsan, was amazing. I booked the additional 30 minute massage and am so glad I did. I feel cleansed and rejuvenated!
