A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Unbelievably fantastic hammam experience
A beautiful 550 year old building for a Turkish bath and hammam. The experience of the hammam ritual, soap wash/massage, hair wash and body scrub was absolutely one of the best ever. This was followed by a full body oil massage and facial. Well worth the money. Safiye was incredible, my body feels completely rejuvenated. Thank you !

An incredible, authentic piece of history!
Gedikpaşa Hammam was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The building itself is beautiful and breathes history. The process is smooth and guided: you sweat it out on the hot marble stone, get an amazing deep-exfoliation scrub, and follow it up with a luxurious foam massage. The staff were professional, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Ending the ritual with traditional tea and sweets was perfect. It’s clean, respectful (separate areas for men and women), and worth every penny.

What a great hammam experience
Really a different and unique spa experience. I enjoyed everything about this experience. The hot marble slab, the scrub, the bubble bath and massage. My attendant was great – Nuf was her name. Must go while in Istanbul!

Best hamam experience
I had no idea what to expect, except for the massage part. My therapist Turkan was lovely, guided me through all the steps of the experience, was very friendly and experienced. I loved everything – from the heated floors on which you lay, to the washing and scrubbing (I felt like a vulnerable baby, in the best way), to the oil massage and little rest & treats afterwards! If you’ve never experienced hamam baths & massage – DO IT!! It’s like nothing else out there, you’ll feel CLEAN and relaxed like never before.Also it’s an old historical building and it’s beautiful, the chandeliers are gorgeous, there’s a little fountain and it’s very clean. The receptionists are lovely and friendly too! Honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience! 🙏🏼

Turkish Bath Experance
What a fantastic experience this was. They pick you up In a golf Buggy from your hotel. Just that in its own was great. But the magic happens when you get the Turkish bath and bubble massage. They supply undies and a towel as well as slip on shoes . So you don’t have take anything with you. Highly recommend this experience. I wish we had it in our country. 5 stars

An exceptional experience, I enjoyed every moment of the treatment. Hot stone, bubble massage and full bod massage relaxed my whole body an soul. The historical environment is beautiful und provedes a special atmosphere. All staff is very friendly and competent. I totally recommend the visit.

A discovery among friends.
Hammam with friends: a lovely discovery. The place is very beautiful, and the staff is friendly. Gentle scrub, a bit rough massage for my taste, but thank you to Turkan. The foam treatment is a discovery and extremely pleasant. A small tea and Turkish delight offered at the end. A very good moment. I recommend it 👍

Washing Away a Week in Istanbul in the Best Way Possible
I walked in at 9 on a Friday night without a reservation but no worries – I was whisked right in and before I knew it I was relaxing on a hot stone in a highly atmospheric setting. This was my first time experiencing a Turkish bath and the ritual of scrub, later, massage and rinse washed away the stress of tromping around this incredible and incredibly bustling city. The staff encouraged me to relax and that I did. The pomegranate cinnamon drink and Turkish delight was a perfect way to cap the experience. Now, back out into the maelstrom …

Rejuvenating and worthwhile
Authentic Turkish bath. Full, expert service. My first experience at a Turkish bath. The staff are welcoming and customer focused. I received pick-up and return to my hotel as part of my booking. When I checked in at reception, the attendant reviewed the service I had requested. Payment was taken and I was ushered into the Women’s side. The facility is clean and follows the traditional layout typical of the Turkish bathhouse. Your changing room is private and secure. The ritual cleaning, scrubbing, massaging and rinsing are rejuvenating. The service ends with Turkish delight and tea. I left feeling peaceful and renewed.

Absolutely fantastic experience!
Absolutely perfect experience! The bathroom was sooooo beautiful! My therapist Ms. Bahriye was so attentive and she really has the massage sooooooo! I recommend everyone who comes to Istanbul to go to the hammam, HERE! You get tea, punch and locum afterwards! The entire staff is very competent!
