A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Absolutely amazing experience , the ladies from hamami are very gentle and professional . Boys from reception are extremely polite with you. We have choose to stay 1h in a autentic and historical atmosphere and payed 70€Everything is very clean and smelling good Thanks a lot will definitely come back !

Beautiful traditional Turkish bath experience
It was my first Turkish Bath experience. I couldn’t have picked a better place: the staff was very welcoming and attentive; the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and the treatment was done with expert hands. My husband who wasn’t keen on the experience – and wasn’t pushed to try – was invited to wait for me in the lobby and was offered some Turkish teas on a comfy sofa whilst waiting. We highly recommend!

Great experience
Superb experience from the welcome to tea and final loukum. The cabins to change are cozy and secure. Supplies are provided (fouta, disposable briefs, tap). The staff is friendly and friendly. The ritual of hammam, scrub and foam massage is vigorous. Being rinsed with warm water brings incredible serenity! It feels good and I came out feeling beautiful and relaxed. Thank you!

Barin the best
Top experience! I immediately felt comfortable. I was entrusted to a lady named Barin, exceptional! Massage, beautiful shampoos, never done before so beautiful. In an atmosphere of total relaxation! After the treatment I dried my hair which was very soft and then end experience with tea and typical sweets. I’d do it again any day! Thank you Barin, the best of massage ever! Happy as a child!

We loved it so much we went back again 4 days later.
We booked the haman for the day we arrived to help with jet lag and it was perfect. The first time we went I had a masseuse named Aysun. The second time it was Mutlu. Both were excellent. My husband was in the mens haman and he had Arif both times (and he was also excellent).The hot marble is very relaxing and the scrub was lovely but the best part was the foam bath. It feels a bit like a lovely warm blanket coating your entire body (but completely weightless). The foam is then massaged away and they repeat the process several times. It’s hard to describe how relaxing it is. We opted for a 30 minute massage afterwards which was perfect for jet lag.The second time I went back I took my own shampoo (they wash your hair as part of the service) as I found the one they used a bit drying for my hair type. They were very accommodating. The private lockable change rooms contain a hairdryer so by the time you leave your freshly washed, scrubbed, massaged and are ready for a night on the town. When you finish your treatment we were served Turkish tea, sherbert and turkish delight which felt like a lovely way to end the experience as we lounged on the private couches.Tips are optional but they really work for them so we felt comfortable leaving some cash in the envelopes provided in the changerooms. This was definitely a highlight of the trip for us. Highly recommended.

Great time at Gedikpasa Hamami!
Excellent time spent in the traditional Turkish bath. The place is beautiful and quiet. Bahriye who looked after me was great, very good at massage and and very gentle. A big thank you to her! I took the traditional hammam formula with a warm time on marble then a glove scrub, a wrap with foam and a massage. At the end there is also a tea and very good Turkish confectionery! All the staff is very kind and welcoming, thank you to them! I am delighted!!
