A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. We had an amazing experience. First time and was better than expected. Huge amount of history and the staff were amazing! Helpful hint the coordinates on their website is for GOOGLE maps not Apple Maps (on apple it will take you somewhere 15 mins away). We got majorly lost getting there. That said still completely worth the trip 😊
