A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. A moment you have to live while in Istanbul
Oznur, my therapist was incredible. She gave so much energy and was very sweet and calm in the meantime. The place is beautiful, you feel neat and clean. The tea and the lukum after were delicious. The only thing that would have me feel out of time is to have a 15 min rest with refreshments between the foam ritual and the massage. I felt a bit in a rush with only 5 min
