A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam

Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city.     Very nice traditional Hammam

    Already at the entrance, the Hammam impresses with very beautiful traditional architecture. Behind the reception there is a beautiful fountain and the rest of the atmosphere also inspires anticipation of the coming experience. As usual in a traditional hammam, one is treated exclusively by men After 15 minutes relaxation on the warm ceramic plates, the Hammam ritual follows. After a short break, followed by a professional foot and full body massage. Here you really get massaged, this is not a caressing massage, but a professional treatment, very deep into the tissue, with a final reference to tension in the shoulder area.For my part, definitely a recommendation. Unfortunately, the holiday is too short to enjoy again.
