A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Favorite Hamam
This was my fourth hamam experience in Istanbul, and by far the best. The service here is truly outstanding. My therapist, Bahriye, was exceptional. She took great care in washing me and added just the right amount of light massage where it was most needed. The facility itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. With such excellent service and attention to detail, this will definitely be my go-to hamam in Istanbul

Can’t miss experience!
My husband and I had our first hamam experience here and both thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked the traditional package which includes peeling and soap suds massage. My attendant was so kind and did a fantastic job, especially with the massage! She made me feel like her daughter, even braiding my hair after washing it. The entire experience was so relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend!

A unique and fantastic experience!
If you visit Istanbul then this is a must visit for an authentic and luxurious Turkish Bath experience like no other. The level of service, hospitality and cleanliness is beyond expectation and price is reasonable compared to other places. Each staff member we came across was friendly and took excellent care of us. Look at the dome roof during your massage, you will feel like you have transported back in time. Don’t miss this experience!

What an experience
I had an amazing experience at Gedikpaşa Hamamı. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, which makes the whole visit feel authentic and special. Wonderful first Turkish bath experience
Wonderful experience from start to finish! From our first inquiry we had great communication via WhatsApp and were picked up at our hotel front door, everyone we encountered were extremely helpful and polite. The treatment was wonderful and we enjoyed a selection of refreshments (including Turkish tea and Turkish delight) afterwards to relax. I’d definitely recommend and would love to come visit again next time we are in Istanbul!

Fantastic experience!
Absolutely phenomenal! We had the hammam and 30-minute body massage with hot oil. It included laying on a hot stone for relaxation in a beautiful domed sauna-like room (I felt like I was in Ancient Greece), an exfoliating scrub, a foam massage, and then a terrific hot oil massage. Everything is provided, including paper undergarments. Men and women are segregated. It is very professional and done in a beautiful setting. We were so relaxed and I’ve never felt so clean when it was finished. Can’t recommend this experience enough! We will be back!

Must do activity!
10/10 experience. After 2 days of walking around sight seeing, this was much needed. Everyone was welcoming, and the place was beautiful! From the entrance down the stairs into the grand lobby, to the women’s changing area, to the bath house. Felt like a baby all over again, getting a full body scrub, with a bubble massage to top it off. I would do this again!
