A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam

Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city.     First time experience

    The view inside was amazing, the people at the front desk greeted and welcomed us as if they’ve known us. I had the pleasure of having Butrn give me the Turkish Bath, she was lovely and friendly made me feel so comfortable and relaxed at even some points I had dozed off. I didn’t want the experience to end, it was perfect, and being my first time I had no idea what to expect. But everything was perfection I can’t say enough amazing things about this experience.Thank you Butrn from the Canadian !

    Excellent esperience! Sure I’ll come back soon. We took the bath + massage experience and it was very meticulous from the beginning in order to offer the best possible experience. At the bath we experience relaxation and at the massages all my stress left the room!

    Beautiful experience, competent and kind staff

    My family had a wonderful time at Gedikpasa Hamman! The facilities are beautiful and comfortable, everyone is very respectful and the hamman ritual itself was a great. Special thanks to Sophia, who was my therapist, who was very kind and competent.Just one tip: bring cash! We didn’t have a lot of physical money with us, and we regretted not being able to tip our therapists properly.

    The staff were very welcoming upon arrival and got us into our gear immediately. There was no issues checking us in what so ever.I expected this bath to be great, however it was absolutely fantastic! I have been travelling Europe for the past two and a half months and this was the best activity I have done so far. So authentic!

    You can’t come to Istanbul and not do a Turkish bathhouse. That being said, this spot was the right choice. Everything about it was delightful. Clean, friendly, accommodating, and professional. I left feeling like a million bucks without paying an extravagant price. Highly recommend
