A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Incredible must-do experience – highlight of my trip to Turkey
I had an incredible experience at Gedikpasa Hammam. I opted for the Hammam Ritual treatment, and my therapist, Nur, was very kind and attentive. I was a little tentative and self-conscious, but Nur immediately put me at ease. This was in fact the highlight of my entire trip to Turkey.The baths are beautiful and clean, and the experience is very relaxing and cleansing. I emerged feeling lighter and energised.I think this is a must-do if you visit Turkey and I can highly recommend Gedikpasa and Nur.

Great first hammam experience
I got recommended this place by my hostel. Whilst I found the price quite high, it is to be expected of a hammam that is so historic and caters for tourists. Moreover, I found the service itself to be great – pickup in a private golf buggy, my own cubicle to lock my stuff away and tea + sweets after the ritual. The ritual itself was very professionally-done, and was overall a good introduction to hammam. Recommended overall!

First experience in Hamam
It was my first time where i did hamam and it was absolutley amazing. my therapist did a very good job and also the massage was very good and i really enjoyed it. I recommend this place to everyone. the personal is very polite and nice so give a try.

A really great experience, I will come back.
Very nice experience, first time at a hamam and i really liked it. The foam is hot and the massages are strong and leave you feeling brand new. The building is really old, one of the oldest bathhouses in the cites, and it has managed to maintain its beauty after all this timeI believe my masseuse Yusuf could probably smash a coconut with his hands.

A must try experience if visiting Istanbul
From arrival to leaving we were treated with great service and advice. Ergun who was my husband’s masseur and Oznur my masseur were experienced and explained what they were going to do. The experience was amazing, we chose to upgrade from the basic body scrub and foam massage to an additional oil massage which was so worth the extra.

Great experience in Istanbul!
I had a great experience at Gedikpasa! This was my first time going to a Turkish bath and I was a bit nervous, but the staff was friendly, the bath facilities were pristine, and my therapist was so kind despite the language barrier. Amazing place!
This was an amazing experience!!! The place is beautiful! It’s very luxury. The service was incredible they make you very comfortable. You feel so clean afterwards. It’s definitely worth the money, if it’s your first time here they look after you and it’s hygienic. I can’t wait to come back here!!

Relaxation in Istanbul
My hotel, Romance Hotel, recommended this hammam upon my arrival. The hotel was able to book the reservation and had a buggy to pick me up the same day of my arrival! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! I got the works which included foot massage, my therapist Turkan was THE SWEETEST! I would definitely return and recommend it!

Excellent service from start to finish. The environment was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The reception staff were friendly and spoke English well, clearly explaining each step of the treatments. My therapist, Arif, provided a very relaxing and professional massage experience.
