A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. First time experiencing a Hammam and it was incredible!
The place was amazing with the classic Turkish feel! It felt authentic the staff were amazing and kind and made me feel welcome. There was not a long wait time at all! My therapist as well was very kind even though I was shy at first but made the whole experience very memorable and great! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is in Istanbul and would like to try. There are multiple different packages to match anyone’s budget.

Ôznur – May 2025, private treatment with massage
The spa is such a beautiful space, from the lobby to the treatment rooms. I was lucky enough to have ôznur for my treatment – she truly made my experience the best of all the spas I have visited across the world. Please ask for her if you are a woman! I was super comfortable during the entire treatment and she took great care in everything she did. All staff were extremely professional, and hospitality was impeccible from the check in to the final moments before leaving where I was brought delicious refreshments. A must go if you are in Istanbul. Dont miss out!

The hamam is so inviting and tranquil. The staff is professional & friendly thank you Murat. Ôznur & Bahariye were amazing!! It’s like a bubble bath massage on marbleThis is well worth the money . And half the price of other hamams in the same area. don’t forget to tip your bather!

Silky Bath !
I just had my first Turkish bath. It felt like a nanny was bathing me. I used hot stones for 15 minutes. I changed rooms and lay on the stone platform for 20-30 minutes. I was first rubbed and then scrubbed. Then I was covered in thick foam. Auntie rubbed me up and down and left and right. It was very smooth. But you have to be prepared to be touched all over your body. I was like a Roman noble. It cost 70 euros for one hour. A small suggestion: you can put a rolled towel on the face when rolled over because it is a bit hard.

Enchanting hamam experience
The setting was beautiful, the place is really authentic. You can barely see it from the street but once you have passed the small door, you enter an enchanting world. The scrub and foam treatment was a special and delightful experience, our therapists were very skilled. Afterwards we had an oil massage which was relaxing and professional. Shout out for Mutlu, Öznur, Giydem and Nurcan! We would surely recommend the place.

Visiting the Turkish hamam was one of the highlights of my trip! I had an amazing experience at this bath house! The facilities were spotless, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and the staff were welcoming and professional. Murat was very with the intake! Mutlu was so friendly and made me feel comfortable! Every detail was thoughtfully designed for comfort and rejuvenation. I left feeling completely refreshed and will definitely be returning.
