A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. A real moment of peace and tranquility in a historic hammam
Amazing place, lying alone in the Men’s hammam on a warm stone staring up at a chandelier hanging from a beautiful historic dome (the baths apparently date from 1475) with its blue glass window panes was a real moment of peace and tranquility. The soap foam bath and massage was great too and the assigned therapist cared about all the little details. A truly unforgettable experience worth every penny.

An excellent and relaxing treat after touring the city
The facility is gorgeous and people working there are very friendly. My first time of Turkish bath turned out exceeding my expectations. I felt very relaxed and refreshing after the foam massage. Definitely highly recommended it. I would love to come here again for my future trip to Istanbul.

The place looks really amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You don’t need anything for your visit, they lend you underwear, a towel, slippers. The staff kindly explains the whole process to you. Great experience! It’s really worth the price.

Welcoming warm friendly staff. Service on time. Therapist gave fabtastic haman. Massage very enjoyable, presssure really good and I thoroughly enjoyed. Building beautiful and spotlessly clean. Refreshing tea, sherbert, nuts,turkist delight post haman. Changing room with hairdryer and key so belongings safe.Gift given on leaving. I thoroughly recommend.

The best experience ever
We had a great experience! The staff was great in all means! We came here for the birthday of my mom and we were treated like princesses.Oznur and Bahriye were great, delicate and super professional. We had the full Pasha dream and was great.You have all the privacy, perfect hygiene and the best treatment ever.At the end the entire staff also to take the time to celebrate my precious mom.Gedikpasa Hamma you are the best!

Incredible Hamam experience in Istanbul
From the moment we came through the door we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. This was an experience my teenaged daughter had been asking for since we decided to spend Spring Break in Istanbul. We found this experience by searching Hamam on Trip Advisor. It was a solid 10/10 and worth every TL/Euro. Our assistants Safye and Ayfer were spectacular! We were guided to an individual room to change from our street clothes into turkish towels. We were then taken to the warm room to sit and let our pores open up. Then we entered a room where we were scrubbed with disposable scrubbers, followed by a bubble massage. We opted for the additional foot massage, and after a week’s worth of city walking, it was perfect. The snacks and tea were the best way to end this one-of-a-kind experience!

Great experience!
I recently visited a Turkish bath, and it was a relaxing experience. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was calming. The bath itself was clean and well-maintained. I enjoyed the hot room, the traditional scrub and the foam massage. We opted for an oil massage too which was great. It’s a unique experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to unwind.

Great experience
Beautiful old building, very classy, clean and calming. The whole experience was more than I hoped for. The reception staff were very professional, the lady therapist was very friendly and made me feel welcome and relaxed. We were provided Turkish tea, nuts, Turkish delight and a sherbet drink after. Hair dryer available, changing area was perfect, private and we had a let to our individual changing room so we felt our belongings were safe, which they were. We were surprised with a goody bag of soap etc on leaving. We had the hamman and full body massage. Well worth every penny, I would highly recommend and I would love to return.
