A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Very nice space – quiet and calming but tucked away in a central location. Facilities clean and therapists very kind. Tea and snacks to finish. Pay in cash either euros or lira

Best Turkish bath ever!!!!!
I had the most incredible Turkish bath experience in Istanbul! From the moment I stepped into the hammam, I was transported to a world of relaxation and tradition. The ambiance was stunning—beautiful marble interiors, soft lighting, and the calming sound of running water. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional care I received from Ciden. She was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive. She took her time to bathe and scrub me with such care, ensuring I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Her massage was absolutely wonderful—one of the best I’ve ever had! I left feeling refreshed, with my skin softer than ever and my body completely at ease. At the end of the bath they provided refreshments and snacks which was delicious!This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Istanbul. If you’re looking for an authentic and luxurious hammam experience, I highly recommend it—especially with Ciden, who made it so special!

The Best Turkish Bath in all of Turkey
We enjoyed an amazing Turkish Bath and Massage. This was our first experience and to experience it in an authentic 550 year old establishment was truly a gift. My therapist Razmand was exceptional. He took great care with me, explaining every step of the way. Raz fixed my shoulder which had been very sore early in the day. There are a lit of Turkish Baths here in Istanbul but this is the original and most authentic…. opened in 1425. The facility is immaculately clean and professional.

Amazing Turkish Bath (Hamam) experience
We had a Turkish Bath experience at Gedikpasa Hamam. It was a beautiful experience – for 60 Euros you can enjoy a traditional Hamam with a body scrub and soap foam massage. The relaxing experience lasted 45 -60 minutes. And then the hospitality ended with traditional Turkish tea, sherbet and nuts. Would highly recommend!!

Highly recommended for 1st experience !
It was an amazing experience! Could have been awkward but not at all. Gseika took such good care of me (not sure how to spell her name so I apologise if not right). I have nothing negative to point! The place is beautifull and immaculate. Not to mention the staff, which was so friendly. You can imagine how it was back in the old times. It was my only experience so far but I recommended!!!

Looked at loads of different Hamam options across the city and while looking at the top 10 found this gem hidden in a google map search! Beautiful building, amazing staff both at reception and the therapy ladies! Excellent value for money and perfectly located a short stroll from the grand bazar after shopping!

You feel rejuvinated
I would recomend every visitor of instambul to visit this hammam. It’s a very unique experience. You get a glimpse of history and luxurious pampering. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The place is realy ful of histroy. The baths were realy Amazing and i loved the scrubs. It was actualy also a very nice massage. You feel very special at the end of hammam. The drinks were also very good. Thank you for this experince and I Will Come again.
