A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. Very wholesome & relaxing experience!
Amazing experience, the whole Hamam to us girls, very personal experience. Had a lovely sauna, followed by a scrub & foam bath, and a rejuvenating cream massage!! Very clean and hygienic facility!! Amazing therapist, highly recommend Oznur ⭐

Great Hammam experience invite Old City
Wet nice family experience to do the hammam ritual. Very kind to our kids and Halis and Ramadan were a great team for our family. The building was exquisite — 1475 and tea and snacks after were great. Highest recommendation!

Memorable Turkish Hammam experience
A short trip to Istanbul as family of 4 . Me and my partner wanted to try Hammam experience. It was our first experience and we did a bit of research reading the reviews and visiting the hammam spa places in the area to finalise one. Whilst in Istanbul there were quite a few Hammam places with variety of prices and package deals. We were very skeptical and a bit confused to which one to choose considering the mixed reviews. We found the newer ones also lacked the traditional feel and seemed more commercial to us. So we decided to go with Gedikpasha as we quite liked the ambience and the hospitality. The reviews were good too.We went with their Pasha’s dream package on Sunday afternoon, 2nd Feb.(To our surprise they were also open on a Sunday.)This place was built in 1475 and it gives you very many traditional vibes.The hospitality was amazing!We were welcomed with some Turkish tea (even when we just went to enquire, as a sweet gesture). Reza and the manager were very welcoming and lovely.Both men and women hammam spa areas are seperate as per the turkish traditions i was told.Had hammam bath experience on the warm marble platform first followed by relaxing oil massage by a lovely Turkish lady- Deniz. I was well pampered and indeed I felt like princess.Cemil looked after my partner. And he was amazing too.Post massage, we had authentic Turkish afternoon tea with Turkish snacks and Sherbet.The experience was fantastic and unique. Felt so light, relaxed and refreshed. I will definitely return to this place when in Istanbul.It was indeed a highlight of our trip. We are glad we went with Gedikpasha and was definitely worth spending the money.Huge Thank you to Reza and the manager, Deniz, Cemil and everyone there for making our experience memorable. 🙏

Perfect wellness retreat
Perfect wellness retreat, my landlady was very careful, kind, massage and all Hammam experience was something perfect. My whole body feels clean, easy. It was pure pleasure with black tea, Turkish delight and nuts at the end, transport to the hotel with goodie bag full of cosmetics. The best massage and wellness ever.

I recently visited this amazing hamam for a Turkish bath and a full body massage, and it was an unforgettable experience. My therapist, Bahriye, was exceptional. She was professional, attentive, and made sure I felt completely relaxed from start to finish. The full body massage was incredibly soothing, with the perfect amount of pressure, helping to release tension and leave me feeling rejuvenated. The Turkish bath itself was a wonderful prelude to the massage, creating a sense of complete relaxation. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the staff were welcoming. Highly recommend this place, especially Bahriye, for a top-notch experience!
