A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. A beautiful experience
I tried this beautiful Turkish massage experience. The location is truly historic and beautiful, the staff is prepared to welcome you and help you feel good along the way. About 1h in which you are followed step by step and come back new and relaxed. After the massage you are offered a nice tea and small sweets in a small room with music and water jets in the background. I would definitely do it again!

An unforgettable Turkish Bath experience
I wanted an authentic turkish hamam experience so I chose the Gedikpasa Historical Turkish Bath as it appealed to my sense of history since it was built in 1475. I had a truly relaxing ,amazing experience. The beautiful surroundings, the experienced and professional masseuse gave me an unforgettable memory of Istanbul Turkey. Relaxing and soothing experience
It was our first time experiencing the Turkish hamam and it was a very relaxing, immersive and soothing experience. Our therapists Aysun and Noor were both friendly and professional and made us feel at ease. The staff overall are very welcoming and professional. We highly recommend this hamam among an endless desert of shoe stores 🙂 (when you initially walk into the area it is a bit surprising that the area is a street lined with shoe stores). But do not let that deter you because when you walk into this hamam, you will feel like you have reached an oasis 🙂
