A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. The best Hammam!
This is not the first time to be here in Gedikpasa Hamami. I would say this is the best hamam I have had the experience with. The place, the atmosphere, the professionalism of the staff is the top. Special thanks to Oznor. She has an extensive experience, very attentive. I really enjoy coming here. And I will certainly visit them again. I recommend the Gedikpasa hamami to everyone.

Super Experience. I did Travel through the Centuries to this amazing Hammam Run by professional and kind Reza. i was washed scrubbed soaped massaged and oiled by Epic Tursan, feeling born again. I will come back as soon as in Istanbul Again. All the Best and Thanks

Amazing experience- absolutely loved it. In a historic authentic hammam. I feel brand new and so relaxed. Very kind Usnush looked after me and gave me the best massage of my life after a lovely hammam. Expert staff, beautiful setting. You will love it!

Relaxation
Just finished the hamman and is immediately a pleasant memory to think back to the scrub, the massage with soap wrapped in a cloud of foam and the different washes with hot water.The attendant very good at performing massage on the whole body.Later, moved to the cold area for a few minutes and then continue to a private area for a massage.Finally,the and lokum.Fantastic all, in a Corniche really typical Turkish.Recommended.

My first experience in a hammam and it’s been amazing. The staff guides you at all times, the atmosphere is relaxing and the traditional ritual (exfoliation and foam massage) leaves your skin feeling like new. You come out totally relaxed. Highly recommended if this is your first time in Istanbul.

Excellent spa ritual in a historical turkish bath
Excellent turkish bath / spa ritual in a historical setting from year 1475. Our family of 2+4 (children 12-17 yrs) had a great experience together here after a long journey from Asia. We selected the Hammam Ritual (70 euro) which took about 1,5 hours included tea and snacks at the end. Very refreshing with hot stones, hot bath, foam cleansing and massage.

Highly recommended traditional hammam ritual even for people with past surgery/injury or limitation!
If you are an adult with physical limitations due to past surgery or injury, do not hesitate to experience this traditional Turkish bath ‘hammam’ and optional massage. I shared my conditions with their amazing manager, Turkan, who at once instructed my attendant/therapist, Ms. Ergun, to manage me with extra care—and she truly did during the entire session! She was gentle around the areas where I’d had past surgeries and injuries, and she aided me from beginning to end. Thanks to both of them, I enjoyed a safe, refreshing, and unforgettable hammam and massage. I added a foot massage to my package, which felt wonderful.We were so glad we chose the historical, beautiful, clean, and well maintained Gedikpasa Hamami in Istanbul. They provided slippers and disposable underwear. And the Turkish tea, delicious sherbet, and Turkish delight snacks were delicious! The Manager Mr. Turkan, spoke English very well, and we even exchanged stories and insights after my session. Naturally, we took photos in the lobby and waiting area to remember the experience. I highly recommend the Turkish bath at Gedikpasa Hamami, and I would absolutely return on my next visit.
