A Brief History of Acemoglu Hammam
Acemoglu Hammam dates to the 15th century, the era of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, and takes its name from the Acemi Oglan — the young recruits trained in the Vezneciler quarter for the Ottoman Janissary corps. Great experience
This was our first experience at a hamam and it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to do a first time experience. We did the hamam followed by a massage and sauna. Never felt so clean in my life.

Exceptional moment of relaxation
Having stayed at the hotel whyndham Istanbul old city, the hammam was part of the services, it was really a moment of relaxation in an exceptional place, we had the opportunity to privatize the place. The staff , caring all this with the utmost respect and discretion. I highly recommend it.

Acemoglu is a traditional Turkish bath in Istanbul, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The place is historic, very clean, and clearly well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived.At the reception, there was a young man who spoke Arabic. He was extremely polite, welcoming, and professional. His kindness and respectful attitude really made a big difference and gave a great first impression of the place✨The bath itself was relaxing and authentic, exactly what you would expect from a traditional hammam. After finishing, the same kind receptionist offered me tea, which was a very thoughtful and beautiful gesture that added a special touch to the whole experienceI would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s not just a bath, but a cultural experience worth trying. I will certainly come back again next time.A special thank you to the receptionist for his warm hospitality and excellent service — you truly made my visit even more enjoyable🙏

An experience beyond expectation
Really a delicious experience. Clean and neat, beautiful surroundings and professional staff. It was the therapists who accompanied us all the way through hamam and massage – we ended up in a spa with sauna, steam bath and pool. Full value for money!

The lady at reception was very kind and helpful. Before my hammam, I was able to use the pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna; it was fantastic. The lady who treated me in the hammam was lovely, gentle, and kind. Definitely an experience worth repeating.

Pretty AWFUL!
I would NOT go here! The hamam itself is lovely, but products were huge vats of washing-up liquid. The changing facilities are atrocious, the staff very unprofessional and we left feeling dirty and violated after what felt like a slapdash massage, with masseuses giggling and chatting throughout, scratches on backs and covered in what was likely cooking oil.

An extraordinary Turkish Hamam experience!Visiting Acelogu Historicak hamam was a great beginning of my trip to Istanbul. The beautiful marble interiors and relaxing atmosphere.The staff were very professional and welcoming, guiding me through each step of the ritual. The traditional scrub and foam massage was very good and the massage was a real, deep massage. We left feeling lighter, softer, and completely renewed.
