A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. My first visit and was recommended by the hotel that I stay in. There is a transfer service to and fro to the hotel. Not knowing what to expect but everything went smoothly. From the pick up to the drop off.The sauna and the lying down on the marble stone. The foam bath and the massage are all A plus. The place and ambience is very soothing and relaxing. Alaattin the one who attend to me was very friendly and his skills are superb. Do ask for him if you come here. Finish of with tea and refreshing drinks.The whole experience is very good and its true that you have to try it when you are in turkey and Gedikpasa Hamami is one that you should try. SUPERB

Wonderful Hammam experience
Enjoyed being collected by buggy from our hotel and taken to the spa. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by welcoming friendly staff. Atmosphere felt immediately calming and authentic. The surroundings felt opulent and you could feel the history of the place. We were met by our therapists Kalsan and Ayfer and led to the Hammam for a period of relaxation, body scrub, soap massage and further relaxation. Thoroughly this our therapists were respectful, sensitive and warm. We then were taken to massage booths for our personal massages. Kalsan delivered one of the best massages ever, a deep and therapeutic massage. Ayfer delivered a sensitive thorough massage which was an uplifting experience. The treats at the end of Turkish coffee, fruits and snack were a lovely way to end the visit. Good value and overall wonderful experience. Thank you Kalsan and Ayfer.
