A Brief History of Gedikpasa Hammam
Gedikpasa Hammam was built in 1475 by the grand vizier Gedik Ahmed Pasha, to the design of the architect Mimar Hayrettin — only about two decades after the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul, which makes it one of the oldest hammams still in use in the city. First rate first time Turkish Hammam experience.
This was my first ever turkish massage experience. I am not normally a fan of massages but thought i should give it a go and i am delighted i did. It was very relaxing and they took great care of us (their English was a bit patchy but perfectly easy to understand)My wife and I both had an excellent experience. Her therapist was called Omer and mine was called Murat – we would both recommend them highly.

İ am amazed
We did a couples massage. The staff was very friendly from the beginning. Speaks English and multiple languages. Started with a tour of the facilities, then back to review offerings and explaining what each item is. Then took us to the changing room, the hamam was very clean and detailed, feels amazing after. The massage was world class, no rushing at all and took their time with us. This is worth doing every time we visit. Great recommendation. The staff was very friendly from start to end. Highly recommend.
