Leading on to the hot room, with a heated marble platform and your body relaxing in a steam-filled atmosphere that opens your muscles and pores.
Professional therapists offer authentic Ottoman experiences, providing a special scrubbing head to toe with exfoliating scrubs (Kese) and massages. After a certain time at the hot room, it is time to eventually get to the cold room in order to chill out with traditional Turkish tea or sherbet.
A Brief History of Cagaloglu Hammam
Cagaloglu Hammam was completed in 1741 on the order of Sultan Mahmud I, who dedicated its earnings to the library he founded inside the Hagia Sophia. It is counted among the last major hamams built in Istanbul during the Ottoman period, and its decoration reflects the 18th-century Ottoman Baroque style. Very interesting experience at this historic human. Staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. The haman itself is extremely atmospheric and scrupulously clean.Huseyin guided me round each stage and gave a great massage. Would recommend.
